What we repair

• Single-panel replacement. Old panel out, new panel in the same concrete slot, done in an hour. £70 to £130 including the panel.
• Post reset. Snapped or leaning post pulled out, new post concreted in its place, existing panels reset. £90 to £150 per post.
• Featheredge board replacement on a closeboard run - one to five boards, matched to the existing stain. £25 to £60 depending on quantity.
• Arris rail replacement on a closeboard run - old rail out (usually rotted at the post socket), new rail brackets fitted, new rail in. £45 to £85 per rail.
• Gravel board replacement - concrete gravel board slid in under a panel run. £30 to £50 per metre.
• Gate rehang, hinge swap, latch fix. £75 to £150 depending on what's needed.

The Ramsgate pattern

Most Ramsgate fence repairs land in one of two categories. The first is winter storm damage - a single panel or two ripped out by a big blow, usually somewhere on a West Cliff or East Cliff exposed rear boundary. Those are a same-week fix; we replace the panel and reset the post if it moved.

The second is slow-onset timber-post rot on older fences. A post snaps off at ground level on a still summer day because the rot has been progressing quietly for two years. On those we'll always mention the concrete-post upgrade option - it costs a bit more per post than a like-for-like timber replace, but it's the last time we come back to that fence for a decade.
