Service · Panel fencing
Ready-made 6ft x 6ft lap or featheredge panels dropped between concrete slotted posts. Faster and cheaper than closeboard, appropriate for sheltered gardens away from the clifftop, and still built to last a decade-plus with the right posts underneath.
Panel fencing works well on sheltered gardens - Nethercourt, most of Newington, the older streets in St Lawrence away from the coastal edge, and the harbour-bowl properties inside Ramsgate town centre. On any of those, a concrete-posted panel run gives you fifteen-plus years of service for less money than closeboard.
Where panel fencing is not the right call is clifftop plots. West Cliff, East Cliff, anywhere north of the harbour on the coastal edge - a standard overlap panel will start losing slats after the first big winter blow. Closeboard is the honest answer there. If you want a panel-look on a clifftop, tongue-and-groove panels on three-rail concrete posts is the compromise; we quote it clearly.
A 20m panel-fence run is a one-day job for a two-person crew on average ground. Cure time is same as closeboard - the concrete needs 24 hours before it's structurally loaded.
Panel fencing supplied and installed: £60 to £90 per metre. Overlap panels at the bottom, tongue-and-groove and decorative at the top. Concrete posts and concrete gravel boards included. Fixed price after we see the run.
